"Your phone is being hacked," Apple will now warn its users - Apps Store

Apple will now send emergency notifications to its users who are being attacked by state-sponsored hackers.

According to the British website Independent, this feature called Apple Threat Notification will tell users that they are being hacked and will guide them on what steps to take.

These emergency notifications will come in the form of email and iMessage notifications on the user's Apple ID. Users will also be able to view them by logging on to Apple's website.

State-sponsored hacking attacks are far more complex than ordinary cyber attacks. This can make it very difficult to identify them. This means that it is usually done against high-profile or special people.

Apple said the recipients of these notifications would be very limited and that they may already be aware of the risks of such attacks.

Apple added that "unlike traditional cyber criminals, state-sponsored attackers use extraordinary resources to target specific individuals and their devices." This makes it very difficult to avoid and stop them. State-sponsored attacks are complex and cost millions of dollars.

"The vast majority of consumers will never be the victims of these attacks," he added.
