Yamaha raises motorcycle prices
The price of the Yamaha Model YB125Z has been increased from Rs. 163,000 to Rs. 176,000 and the price of YB125ZDX have been increased from Rs. 175,500 to Rs. 90,000 and increased the price of Model YBR 125 from 181,000 to 196,000.
Sabir Sheikh, a motorcycle dealer and chairperson of All Pakistan Motorcycle Assemblers, said there has been a significant increase in demand for motorcycles since the last economic recovery.
For the first time in 20 years, the automobile industry faced a supply crisis as the demand for motorcycles was high while the demand was low.
Dealers were unable to deliver on time and motorcycles are being sold on wool money in popular markets like Akbar Road in Karachi. Wool Money is an additional charge that the dealer receives from the customer upon immediate delivery of the vehicle.
